We have received many messages and complaints through Examrelief Jamb Assistance Program page concerning little and non computer knowledge, many have asked us if there is any alternative to CBT but we are sorry to tell you that for the 2020 JAMB UTME there is not later to CBT, it will be used generally.

For these reasons I have took my time to compiled this useful tips for Computer Based Test (CBT) for those who shave little or no knowledge of Computer to get them Familiar With The CBT System And Use Their Time To the Maximum.

Uses of 8 keys without a mouse

The use of 8 keys without a mouse was introduced by JAMB to make this year Computer Based Test (CBT) friendly for candidates.

The 8 keys are;

  1. A – for choosing option A in response to questions
  2. B – for choosing the B option
  3. C – represents option C
  4. D – for selecting option D
  5. P – represents previous question
  6. N – is for next questions.
  7. S – is for submit
  8. R – is for reverse

The above keys can be found on the keyboard and they can be uses instead of mouse. Below is the example of keyboard;

Schedule of Time

This is to notify all jamb candidates if you don’t know that you are to use 40seconds for each question during your JAMB CBT UTME Exam.

Time Analysis

JAMB QUESTIONS = 180 I.e Uses of English 60, 2nd Subject 40, 3rd subject 40, 4th subjects 40.

TIME=2hrs

2hrs is equivalent to 120 Minutes or 7200 Seconds

Now, 7200 Seconds ÷ 180 Questions = 40 Seconds

For an optimum usefulness of time, I will implore you not to use more than 40 seconds on a single question. Always base your plan on 40 Seconds or Less. You may get your self prepared Using Examrelief CBT Practice Centre  to see how fast you are, if you can answer all the questions before the time elapses. You have spent 30sec question.

You can use this format below

ENGLISH = 60 Questions = 39 mins
2nd Subject = 40 Questions = 27 mins
3rd Subject = 40 Questions = 27 mins
4th Subject = 40 Questions = 27 mins
TOTAL of 120 mins=2 hrs
